To marry,     heartbroken,   brother,   a baby,    to be rich…

These were some of the words that visitors to the Christian TEFL stand at the Momentum festival were asked to either mime, or explain simply.

The idea was to give these visitors a taste of TEFL as they did what English teachers often have to do; explain the meaning of unknown words to English learners. We got some great, creative responses, as you can see!

This was our first time at Soul Survivor-Momentum, a Christian festival for 18-30 year olds. Held at Shepton Mallet, 27th-31st August, it proved to be a great experience. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting mission-minded Christians, other exhibitors and catching up with some of our mission partners.

It was exciting to see just how much there is going on for God’s glory. Seeing Rend Collective at the worship on the last morning and laughing at the silent disco were added bonuses.

In the meantime, have a think about how you would mime, explain or draw the words:

To marry,     heartbroken,   brother,   a baby,    to be rich ?
