Last Christmas we offered three free ready-to-print TEFL lessons to anyone on our mailing list. These came from our 20 online lesson worksheet pack. All we asked in return was for people to reply with a Christmas message. It was overwhelming to receive so many Christmas messages of hope and encouragement from our trainees, past and present. Thank you!

So, in these continuing uncertain times, we thought we’d share some of the replies from last Christmas to encourage you. Please enjoy and feel free to add your prayers, thoughts or Christmas wishes for this year and for 2022 in the comments below.

Christmas messages of hope 2020

It has been great getting to know you and your work these past few months. It is lovely to hear of outreach opportunities in the UK using TEFL and meeting some folk involved in that. Hope to continue ‘working alongside’ you in 2021. God Bless.

This Advent & Christmas season lighting the candle of hope and reflecting about the true meaning of Christmas was quite special. Jesus offers us hope that doesn’t depend on the circumstances where facing and that is surely good news.

Thank you for the great support you give. Wishing all at Christian TEFL a blessed and restful Christmas. Praying that 2021 gives more opportunities to spread Good News through our teaching.

Many thanks. Happy Christmas! I will use your plans to help Syrian refugees in St Albans learn English.

Hi friends, thanks for all your emails this year. We’re quarantined with Covid for Christmas, but hope you all have a more exciting break than my husband and me. Every blessing.

Happy Christmas and New year to you all.  May you know more of Christ this Christmas time

Wishing you a Happy Christmas and a well-earned break.  May 2021 be a time where we continue to see and experience our Lord’s goodness to us every day.

Our Christmas session was ‘cultural’ – we got our ladies to talk about how they ‘celebrate’ and they brought clothes and food to show us and we did a Nativity vocabulary quiz using shared screen. Then we screened a short film of David Suchet reading a kids’ version of the Christmas story with the focus on ‘Emmanuel.’ Then each of us teachers shared 1 minute on how Jesus has been Emmanuel to us in the past year. It was such a privilege to see our mainly Bengali Muslim ladies listen so attentively – it felt like a Holy moment. We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father! It turns out I also have just the right number of TEAR Fund cards with the Emmanuel text on for the ladies in my group… so I can do a socially-distanced drop next week with a small gift as usual.
Have a blessed Christmas, all of you!

May God bless all people and keep helping us to make the World a better place. Thank you.

Do hope you have a wonderful Christmas season, despite lockdowns and limitations.  Fortunately, we believe in a limitless God!

Thank you for all that you are doing. May God bless you this Christmas and may He prosper your work in 2021.

Looking back and looking forward

We have seen the Lord in action this year through all of you, as you stepped out in faith through teaching English through a pandemic. Thank you, everyone. It’s a pleasure to walk alongside you, even if we do it virtually these days!

We are looking forward to supporting more churches and individuals, both in the UK and overseas in 2022.

God bless,

William, Louisa, Denise, Kerry, Steve, John, Sophie, Gemma, Jenny and Mike
